Welcome to our classroom website!

Volunteers needed for Colonial Day!!! We are short on costumes this year for Colonial Day and need some parents that know how to sew to help make our day a success! Colonial Day will be this July, but we want to give you plenty of time to work with. If you could help sew a few outfits, please let us know ASAP. All supplies will be provided.

***Remember Picture Day is this WEDNESDAY!!!

For this week you will do:
1.  Reading Log
2.  Vocabulary Assignment (Definitions AND sentences!)
3.  American Revolution Writing Assignment

Writing Assignment:  Taxation without representation!  The British government believed that colonists in America should pay taxes in order to repay them for their support and protection (especially during the French and Indian War).  On the other hand, many colonists believed that they should not be taxed if they don't get to vote or have any representation in the British government.

Write at least one paragraph explaining your point of view.  If you lived during this time, would you agree with Britain that the colonists should pay taxes?  Or would you agree with the patriots that they should not be taxed?  Why?
