Welcome to our classroom website!

Volunteers needed for Colonial Day!!! We are short on costumes this year for Colonial Day and need some parents that know how to sew to help make our day a success! Colonial Day will be this July, but we want to give you plenty of time to work with. If you could help sew a few outfits, please let us know ASAP. All supplies will be provided.

Homework for the week of: Monday, March 14th

For this week you will do:
1.  Reading Log
2.  Vocabulary Assignment
3.  Metaphor Assignment (Directions Below)

Metaphor Assignment:  We all know that metaphors don't mean exactly what they say,  They are a creative way to get your point across in writing.  For example, if you say, "My room is a pig sty."  There isn't actually pigs in your room!
For this assignment you will write a metaphor and draw a picture mixing the two things being compared.  For "My room is a pig sty."  You could draw a picture of a bedroom with a pig on the bed and hay all over the floor.
Pick three metaphors and draw three pictures creatively illustrating them in a funny way.  Color your drawings.
